Brian Rudy is a dedicated team player who believes strongly in building team spirit and responsibility with the client and to the project. He has over fourteen years experience in design and project management, and is adept at visualizing and solving complex issues. Having worked on museums, performing arts centres, educational, institutional, industrial and residential projects, Brian's range of experience spans from early concept design through all subsequent phases of a project to the end of construction. His strong communication and leadership skills have been instrumental in building and maintaining strong and lasting relationships with both sides of the project team from client to consultants. As the project architect for the New Canadian War Museum project, he was involved on a day-to-day basis from design through construction. Brian managed the large multi-disciplinary design team of over 20 sub-consultants and acted as prime M&T liaison within the architectural joint venture with Ottawa based Griffiths Rankin Cook. Brian is the project architect and design lead for the redevelopment of the 15 hectare Queenston border crossing Plaza near Niagara Falls. His involvement started with the design of the Plaza Master Plan. With the first phase currently under construction, this multi-phase project will eventually replace all the buildings and infrastructure on the Plaza. Previously, Brian was the Project Architect for the Toronto French School expansion, which included a 6,500 square metre addition and 4,600 square metre renovation to an existing historic school campus. Currently, he is the overall project manager for Wynford Park in Toronto, working with Charles Correa on the Ismaili Centre, Maki and Associates on the Aga Khan Museum, and Vladimir Djurovic on the landscape and site design. Brian joined Moriyama & Teshima in 2001, becoming an associate in 2004. |
