Carol Phillips:

Associate, Moriyama & Teshima Architects

Carol Phillips graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Architecture in 1992. Her refined design sensibility and rigorous commitment are complimented by her fifteen years of professional experience. She joined Moriyama and Teshima in 2005 and was named an Associate in 2006.

Carol's experience spans all phases of a project from programming and conceptual design, through site supervision and public presentations. She has acted in a variety of roles, applying her design, technical and leadership skills to a number of cultural projects including the award winning University of Toronto Multifaith Centre, Guelph Civic Centre, ONE-NBM Museum Competition and the Hillfield Strathallan Secondary School and Althletic Complex. Carol is currently a contributing designer to the Nova Scotia Community College Centre for the Built Environment and is Project Architect for the CN Tower Base Development.

Previously Carol worked with an award-winning firm specializing in recreational and cultural projects. Her list of projects includes Aquatic Centres, Secondary Schools, Performing Arts Theatres, Community Centres, Indoor Soccer Facilities and State-of-the-Art Cinemas.

Carol is an excellent communicator who has worked with multi-faceted client groups and has participated in several successful joint venture projects. She is particularly skilled in building consensus and inspiring a dedication to an architectural vision within a harmonious team atmosphere.
