Since the 1960s Moriyama & Teshima has taken an integrated approach to its many award-winning buildings, providing interior architecture as well as architectural services. More recently we have been providing interior architecture as a stand-alone service, working within existing structures. We offer a complete range of services for government, corporate, retail, and entertainment projects of every size. We provide programming, space planning, and interior design, including furniture, fixture, equipment, and artwork selection. Projects range from the Scarborough Canada Centre, where we provided the tenant fit-up for 900 Federal Government employees, to Bay Bloor Radio, a high-end electronics shop located at the lower level of a Toronto high-rise, and the Nokia Mobile Phone Headquarters in Ajax, Ontario.
Our integrated approach extends to our working process as well as to individual projects. Moriyama & Teshima's staff includes two registered interior designers. Our senior designer, Joni Inouye, has been with the firm since 1966 and has a full knowledge of construction and building types. One of our partners, Jason Moriyama, was an industrial designer before becoming an architect. Our interior designers and architects work together on projects to provide clients with innovative designs as well as technical expertise. We work closely with clients in order to understand their objectives and goals. We see ourselves as problem-solvers, providing clients with options, creating a roadmap that guides the process, and balancing aspirations with functional needs and budgets. |
