The school considers the geological and community heritage of the site, aiming to reflect and celebrate its long-standing connection to the natural world and the local culture in Scarborough, Ontario. The regenerative landscaping featuring native species will be incorporated into the site, at once supporting biodiversity, improving student wellness, and offering hands-on opportunities for education.

In line with supporting the school’s diverse community, the facility includes four special education classrooms with full-height cabinetry to reduce climbing risks, a large shared accessible washroom serving multiple needs, and a separate sensory room for quiet regulation.
