Advancing from sustainability toward regeneration.

Located in the The Arboretum, the Honey Bee Research Centre enhances connections to the neighbouring campus and the existing integrated trail system. Balancing the ecology of the site with educational programming, the grounds highlight the productivity of the land through cultivated agricultural plots and working hives.
To reinforce the importance of climate change and its relationship to the vital role of honey bee health, the facility will employ natural ventilation, a high-performance envelope, rain gardens, and a green roof. With its Discovery and Learning Space, exhibition area, research and extraction Labs, classrooms, a cafe, and a gift shop, the facility will support the continued learning of children, students, and scholars from all over the world.
