Visitors exploring an indoor museum exhibit with polar bear cutouts, educational panels, and interactive displays about Arctic wildlife and environment.

Inside, strips of black walnut and granite set into the floor represent the historic Old Huron Road and Grand Trunk Railway. The wood walls of the entry corridor and lobby are cladded in boards reclaimed from one of the region’s most historic barns. With permanent and temporary galleries, a presentation theatre, classrooms, officers and food services, the museum provides a flexible space for a variety of programming.

Outside, a colourful wall of illuminated glass panels recalls the vivid hues of quilts by early Mennonite settlers.
