We are proud to announce that Limberlost Place has been shortlisted at the World Architecture Festival in the Higher Education and Research category, and for the Sustainability Prize. The prestigious festival recognizes work from leading architecture practices around the globe, spotlighting emerging and established talent alike.
As a net-zero, mass timber home for George Brown Polytechnic's School of Architectural Studies, the building is a model for what a sustainable academic facility can be. Designed with future architects and designers in mind, the project facilitates learning both inside and outside of the classroom, immersing students in an environment that teaches through seeing and interacting with solar chimneys, operable windows, and exposed wood structures.
MTA Partners Carol Phillips and Phil Silverstein will present the project in front of a jury from November 18 to 20, 2026 in Fort Lauderdale, Flordia. We are honoured to be selected among our respected peers, and look forward to celebrating the winner at the event.
